Dr. Carl J. Urbanski

Dr. Carl Urbanski
Carl J. Urbanski, O.D. is a lifelong resident of area. Dr. Urbanski received his undergraduate degree from Wilkes University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After graduation he returned to the area and joined his father’s private optometry practice in Kingston to continue serving the vision needs of the families of the area. Dr. Urbanski is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and is an active member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. He has served as a member and past chair of the Pennsylvania State Board of Optometry. He is a member of the Wilkes-Barre Kiwanis Club. Dr. Urbanski resides in Mountaintop with his wife Dr. Marty Shipe, and their daughter Emily.

Dr. Martha Shipe
Martha A. Shipe, O.D. joined her husband Dr. Urbanski in practice in August 2002 after practicing locally for the prior ten years. Dr. Shipe received her undergraduate degree from Grove City College and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Shipe is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Shipe resides in Mountain Top with her husband Dr. Carl Urbanski and their daughter Emily.
Dr. Kristin M. Kern
Kristin M. Kern, O.D. is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She grew up in northeast PA where she attended Lake-Lehman high-school. She completed her undergraduate degree at The Pennsylvania State University and received her Bachelors of Science in Biology with honors. Dr. Kern has volunteered on medical trips in the US and Panama to serve underprivileged communities. She currently lives in Tunkhannock and enjoys hiking and traveling in her free time.
Dr. Kern is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and the Northeast Pennsylvania Optometric Society. She has a special interest in dry eye disease, specialty contacts and pediatric binocular vision.
