Dr. Carl J. Urbanski
Carl J. Urbanski, O.D. is a lifelong resident of area. Dr. Urbanski received his undergraduate degree from Wilkes University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After graduation he returned to the area and joined his father’s private optometry practice in Kingston to continue serving the vision needs of the families of the area. Dr. Urbanski is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and is an active member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. He is a member and trustee of the Wilkes-Barre Kiwanis Club. Dr. Urbanski resides in Mountaintop with his wife Dr. Marty Shipe, and their daughter Emily.
Dr. Martha A. Shipe
Martha A. Shipe, O.D. joined her husband Dr. Urbanski in practice in August 2002 after praticing locally for the past ten years. Dr. Shipe received her undergraduate degree from Grove City College and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Shipe is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Shipe resides in Mountain Top with her husband Dr. Carl Urbanski and their daughter Emily.
Dr. Gail A. Evans
Gail Evans, O.D. is a lifelong resident of the Wyoming Valley. She graduated from Dallas High School, Wilkes College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Her specialties include comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fitting and evaluations, optometric management of ocular disease, and has a special interest in Low Vision evaluations.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Optometric Association.
Dr. Evans is married to Dr. David Evans. They have three children, Kyle, Brooke and Curtis.
Dr. David A. Evans
David A. Evans, O.D. is a lifelong resident in the Back Mountain Area. Dr. Evans received his undergraduate degree from Wilkes University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After graduation he returned back to the area to open his private practice in Nanticoke. He also practices part time at Family Vision Care.
Dr. Evans is an active member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association on the state level where he serves as a director; the American Optometric Association and the Northeast Optometric Association. Dr. Evans resides in Dallas with his wife and their children, Kyle, Brooke and Curtis.
Dr. Emily A. Jones
Emily A. Jones, O.D. is a lifelong resident of Hunlock Creek. She graduated from Holy Redeemer High School. She went on to receive her undergraduate degree from Millersville University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University. In addition to obtaining her doctorate degree, Dr. Jones completed an Advanced Studies Program in Retina and gained recognition for her excellence in her Primary Care, Pediatric, and Vision Therapy internships. While at Salus, she was very involved in the Student Optometric Services to Humanity, where she participated in and helped organize a service trip to Cap-Haitien, Haiti. When Dr. Jones is not inside working, she likes to spend her time enjoying the outdoors and attempting to master the game of golf.
